Least favorite Christmas pop song?
My all time loathable Christmas pop song is "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" by Elmo and Patsy.

When I was in radio, I'd refuse to play that song. I suggested to the station GM that I would play it once for every caller who donated $50 to the local senior's center. Hell, I said, I'll play it 12 times in an hour if someone contributes $600. He didn't take me up on it.

Runner-up: "Christmas All Over Again" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Gaaaak.

but he shoulda never touched that song. "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" was wonderful for Brenda Lee, but Tommy what the hell were you thinking :spank:

7. Speaking of which......
Anyone here have a station that goes ALL Christmas Thanksgiving week and stays that way until New Year's? We have one that's the Adult Contemporary station, but swiches to the same 20 X-mas songs ALL FRIGGIN DAY!!!!!

9. Some station in the DC area...
...started its Christmas play list at the BEGINNING of November and played Christmas music the whole month. Every time I'd walk into the deli, it was torture. And I love Christmas music generally and always hate when radio stations stop playing it after the 25th (Christmas is a season, not a day). But November is not Christmas. Heck, it usually isn't even Advent yet.

11. Actually, ours has already started.
It's been going for a few days at least. What they don't seem to realize is that even if they have different people singing the song every time they play it, it is still the same song -- over and over and over...
