Good comedy movie lines - pre 1980
I was watching the Odd couple earlier. I love so many lines form that film, though anything with either of Lemon or Matheu is great.

In OC I think my favourite is.
"I'm down $53 bucks and everyone's getting fat!"

Got one?

3. Forgot the title, darnit. It's an old film with Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon
I think it's "Some Like it Hot." I watched it because it was voted one of the top two or three (maybe number one) comedies of all time by the Film Institute.

It's the final line of the film. Jack Lemmon is in drag through most of the film, and a rich older man falls for him, and at the end proposes. Jack lists all the reasons he can't marry him, and finally says, "I can't marry you," and he pulls his wig off and speaks in a deep voice, "I'm a guy." The old man shrugs and says "Nobody's perfect."

Directed by Billy Wilder, one of the most risque directors of that era.
