Oh MY God. I just realized that I am free all weekend.

My kid has gone to Texas to celebrate Thanksgiving with my relatives. First time since his birth eleven years ago that I have had a whole weekend to myself.

I am free...and I am sitting here posting on DU???

Should I clean the house? Read? Watch some movies? Go get inebriated? Too many choices!

First weekend in months. No moving, no unpacking, no rehearsals, no work... no obligations. Just me, a bottle of Jack, 8 beers, and a frozen pizza sit between me and what could be a snowed-in weekend of solitary bliss.

Then it will be a whirlwind again until xmas weekend.

Mothers are allowed to be human, and like humans, need recharging and relaxation.

My mom was the best mom possible, but looking back, I know she must have enjoyed the times I was at grandparents... and it is their job to spoil.
