Anyone own/seen the .Airplane DVD "Come Fly Jefferson Airplane" ?

Opinions?

Mostly wanting to know if the ratio of live performances to lip syncs, I guess. And are the interviews worthwhile? (No matter the act, sometimes they can be insightful, other times downright painful.)

Thanks in advance...

1. Airplane
I have enjoyed the Airplane since the beginning. What is s.esn.? Whenever I have seen them interviewed they are worthwhile. Grace is college educated and very smart. They were terrific live. I saw them 6 days after Kent State. If you an get a copy of Woodstock 2, they play a great Eskimo Blue day and a great Saturday Afternoon. I find that the rock artists by and large from the sixties were smart and educated. They came out of the Folk movement and that was an intellectual movement. It is not like having to listen to Motley Crue be interviewed.

It is my stupidity on display...

"Seen". Now changed. Thanks.

Do you have this new DVD? I'm a reasonably big fan too, including the Great Society stuff.

I'm about to run out the door but am going to ask you to please expand on your experiences seeing them, as I was too young.

Thanks so much in advance...

I have not seen it. But I am interested . They were one of the biggest bands of the sixties. They closed Saturday night at Woodstock and Hendrix closed Sunday. I was there. That should tell you alot. Recently, I have been listening to them and just ordered their remastered CD's. I have all the original band albums. They were great and like most SF bands they didn't move around alot. Jack and Jorma were great and I think their music holds up well. Their version of Wooden Ships is the best and no one has ever sang rock like Grace. Marty and Grace always sang well together. Since you call yourself Darkstar, I saw Diga rhythm with Garcia as a warmup to the Starship in '75 at Golden Gate Park
