1. Speaking of JB, there's a DVD torrent of his Boston Garden '68 show up!

Over at easytree.org, somebody is torrenting the legendary show broadcast live by WGBH on April 5, 1968. Supposedly, it's the best looking version out there.

For those not in the know, the show took place just 24 hours after MLK, Jr. was assassinated. The mayor considered cancelling all public events for fear of riots, but reconsidered after local leaders warned him it could make the situation worse. WGBH broadcast the show live in the hopes that everybody would stay home to watch the show. It worked, as I believe Boston was one of the few cities that didn't have riots that evening.

And you're right. The most influential musician of this half century, but his politics are somewhat questionable.

Can't argue with the music, though. I happen to have Star Time right here, ready to upload to my ipod!
