Or am I old fashioned because I do.

1. Always carry one.
A habit from having Childhood Allergies.

11. I like Hankies
I like the old bandanna, railroad worker type.

The old the better and softer.

Tried the kleenex in the purse routine and they would be at the bottom of the purse and all dirty and wrinkled when I needed to blow my nose.

So now I have several red and blue ones. If I am outside I usually have one in my pocket, too - maybe it's a throwback to pioneer days, or maybe I am really a scout. I want to be prepared and a good hankie can do it all.

2. Yes
And I have to tell you they are darned hard to find. Finally gathered a bunch a various garage sales. Got a bunch more when my grandmother died. I think I'm set for life now.

3. Yes.
After years of being caught with a runny nose and no tissues; and remembering my parents always carried a handkerchief. I finally have one, and I've needed it.

4. Sorry,
I just can't get use to having snot filled handerchiefs in my purse or pocket. Although both my parents carry them, I just never PICKED it up.

7. Always!

Cambric, usually, or cotton. Linen for formal, silk for evening.

I have matching handkerchief, gloves, etc when I go out. Which is not often.

It's wonderful what one can find in older thrift stores, the smaller ones, run by ladies for some charity or other... Silk scarves, old Fifties hats, lace fichus, etc.

Just because one does not have money does NOT mean one cannot dress well... it just takes more time and forethought.

8. No.
But if I'm lucky, I might remember to put some Kleenex in my purse.

My mother always had Kleenex whenever anyone needed some. I hardly ever remember to carry any.

I don't think carrying a handkerchief makes you old-fashioned.

10. Yes, I would get a few of them each year for birthday/Xmas
throughout childhood. Found a few at odd places like garage sales or thrift shops, too. They are very practical, not to mention pretty.
