3. this one is right across the street from where I work
the glasses are sure better than the old cardboard days with a red and blue lens.

The snow flakes falling were a trip - like they were falling in your hand.

Can you tell I haven't seen a 3D movie in forever?

O! MG! :P

5. I've seen 3-D IMAX shows before
Saw the last one in Va Beach (of all places) on my 2001 trip there at their aquatic museum... saw a few in Seattle at the science museum as well...

But you didn't say on the phone that this is what you were seeing, so I chalked it up to blathering... now I understand.

11. that isn't the point
You didn't say that is the way you were seeing it... you just blurted "Polar Express in 3-D" and I let it go...but then again, I wasn't in the mood to chit-chat about IMAX or anything else.

Yeah, I can vouch for the quality of 3-D IMAX shows. But really, if I am not getting paid, the Polar Express Franchise can kiss my ass.

10. Enjoy!
I got the biggest kick out of the elves (as I mentioned above). They were the best elves I've ever seen in a story like this.

6. My kids are "Polar Express" purists. And are highly offended at movie.
They're in high school now, but Polar Express was a loved tradition.

It does seem hard to see how a feature length can be culled from that original classic.

How can you add without detracting?

7. they need to get a grip
They should be jaded enough to know that nothing, especially childhood memories, are sacred when it comes to the movie machine.

8. I enjoyed it quite a bit
I can't imagine not being able to enjoy the book AND the movie. The technology alone is worth it (but them I have a computer background and that stuff is interesting to me)

12. Haven't seen the movie, but sick of the Macy's display
In NYC the Macy's famous window display is a tribute to this movie and I'm so tired of walking past it and hearing the theme music and seeing the little animatronic kids spin around. Is the movie itself any good? I think the Village Voice officially called it 'creepy.' LOL.
