11. '77. The year I was released from active duty in the Navy.
It's always been the pivotal year in my life.

It was also the year that "Nevermind the Bollocks" was released.

4. I'm an exile from 1967 and still wondering where it all went
Sometimes I dream I'm back there . . . it was a unique world. Not so much a time as a place out of time.

But you had to have been there to understand.

8. My memories of 1967 are foggy but it seemed like a dream world
Not from drugs; I was only nine years old at the time.

I remember real hippies, college students, mini-skirts, and the music.

I often wish I could go back there as an adult with all of my post-1967 memories intact just to see what things looked and felt like.

6. 1992.
Nirvana at #1, kicking the King of Pop off the chart.
Clinton wins, kicking Poppy the King off the throne.

Plus, I fell in love for the first time that year, It was a beautiful spring, and I did acid a bunch of times that spring and summer and never had a bad trip. A magical year for me (for personal reasons I couldn't possibly convey in mere words) and, I'm sure, many others.

7. 1981 - 1982
The year I was twelve. About 90% of the most memorable moments in my life (good & bad) seem to occur in the time span.

I had just moved to San Francisco, my brother was still alive and healthy and we were having a blast in the city.

Least favorite of those listed was 1997. I went through a horrible break up and ended up living with a friend who was the roomate from hell. Needless to say I'm on better terms with my ex than my former roomate.
