stray-has large ears and muzzle of hounds, but is large as a dalmation

what breed is it? Has four inch bobbed tail, too. Pale yellow, shorthair. Thin body of a dalmation.

There is a breed called Rhodesian Ridgeback that looks much like as was described, short hair, hounds ears and face, pale yellow. They have this odd little "ridge" of fur that runs along their spine. It would really help if a picture of the dog could be posted. Here's a ridgeback:
