Water spill, bad footing, dizzyness, etc.

9. Now that I look back on it, it's becoming funny....
Edited on Sun Nov-21-04 10:35 AM by Clinton Crusader
I was standing on the toilet seat, cleaning a pic on the wall. I suddenly felt the seat make a sharp left, and I was like 'uh-oh', it snapped off, both my feet went into the toilet. Since it's all water, I couldnt STAND in it, water splashed all over the floor, I spun out of the bowl and fell on the floor, and banged my head on the floor. HARD too. I just laid there trying to determine how bad it was before I moved. Thank GOD I had enough sense in mid-air to turn myself and fall on my left side cause I have a REALLY bad back and falling straight down would have probably killed me.

Now I have a lump and a slight headache. What an a-hole I was to even do such a %^$#! stupid thing.

10. not yet, probably wont
Have a little headache, but I never lost consciousness, didnt feel dizzy, nothing. I was damn lucky, it's stupid as all hell, but I could have done some serious damage. Dont they say most accidents happen in the bathroom?

11. Hope you're OK. Got to say this though. As much as I come to DU for
the political fix, I love that you can post a message like this. I'm not smiling because you fell, believe me. I'm smiling because, despite all the shit, we can still find humor in falling on the bathroom floor.

I love this place.

(Seriously though, make sure you're OK!)

12. Oh Im laughing now too, wasnt yesterday....
But when I think back on it, there I am laying on the floor, wondering if I actually died already, water all over the floor, cat is terrified, wondering what the fuck Im doing (I took down alot of stuff with me and it made a God awful fucking racket). It's funny now, but I was scared laying there. Have a nice little knot on my head to remember my assinine stupidity by....

Moral of the story, do NOT stand on the toilet seat to clean things and lean forward....

13. Are you alone?
If so, I suggest you have a friend or family member around to keep an eye on your neuro status. You may not recognize any symptoms of heard trauma, have a seizure, loose conciousness.....

Need to be observe red 24-48 hours.

This was a good information"

Over the next 24 hours, observe the victim for any signs of a serious head injury.
During the night, awaken the victim every 2 to 3 hours and check for alertness.
Ask the victim specific questions, such as an address. If the victim becomes unusually drowsy, develops a severe headache, vomits more than once, or behaves abnormally, get medical help immediately.

****** Refrain from vigorous activity for 24 hours after a serious head injury.

(I think sex might fall into this catagory)

17. I slipped on the bathroom floor at my mother's house.
My feet went flying in all directions and as I went down I scrapped my right buttock on the corner of the sink basin cabinet. Still have the scar.

It was so bad I mooned my mother and sister so they could see how bad it was.

(Watch that bump close kiddo!!!)

18. Was This Your Experience?
I hit my head. I hear the phone ring. I was distracted by my friend oe.
I hit my head. Now I'm left handed. Lost my sublet to my friend Joe.
I've lost my superpowers. I was invisible.
I could just cut myself right out my will
I was unsupervised. I had a real good time until I... I hit my head.
Back in the day with my friends 'round me, you could count on me with
just one hand.
When I digress you'll find me smiling. Could be living underneath the ground.

I hit my head in different places. I was distracted by memory.
I was alone, or else just lonely, and Joe will never return again.

We hoped for better things that were impossible.
We would just clap our hands and wait for the sound.
We were unsupervised. We had a real good time until I...
I hit my head.

I was already left handed. Does that count?? Shit, maybe I should check if I'm ambidextrous now!! Or I see dead people and know the lottery numbers...

Seriously, I do have a headache, a dull throbbing, nothing major. Other than that, my whole BODY hurts.

26. That Song is by Monopuff, Which is a Spinoff of They Might be Giants
who are one of my favorite bands. It's very catchy -- try downloading or listening to the preview.

And if you used to have any superpowers -- consolations. :)
