I would! LOL! My kids and DH are going to MILs... and, well i hate that woman...so I am staying home. I guess I never thought about what it would be like with no turkey on Thanksgiving. bummer.
I like people who cook like a mo fo - that's a kind of martial art right?
Hey maybe some elderly neighbors might like a dinner too! I cooked for my old geezer neighbors a couple of years ago and you would have thought I cured world hunger AND male pattern baldness! Felt pretty good too.
Weez in Houston, and on Turkey Day weez having fried chicken with my FIL (he's just getting over a third bout of chemo for his bladder cancer and well, he wants Popeye's).
you can invite some single people( I have done this a couple of times) by or donate the dinner to a family on welfare or mother with handicapped kids. Association f retarded citizens might be a place to start.
I am a total nut job and I see so much of life threw rose colored glasses it's gross. I love to cook. and the kids will be home tomorrow. I just wanted to invite the mutually pitiful to dinner at my house.
But these days its pretty much myself and a 91 yr old uncle. I for some reason cannot cook for less that 6 people. I'm taking him to his daughters house this year she is doing all the work and I get to eat then go to work. My family has shrunk down too and as the rest of the relatives get older and infirmed it is hard to get them to leave the house. I pretty much usually work the holidays, it helps drive the blues away.
You could alway make a bunch of turkey soup for those chilly Tx. days. Happy TG Day.
I hope you have a good Thanksgiving otherwise. If I were in Texas (which, no offense, but I'm glad I'm NOT!) I would come bring you a pumpkin pie and share my holiday with you!
