Well, I'm certainly feeling better (had a good experience today).

I recently turned 47, ugh.... Those numbers just have a way of makin' a fella feel old.

I sell vintage musical instrument catalogs on ebay. This guy that won one of my auctions worked just a few miles down the road so I met him to complete the transaction.

We're both musicians, right? So we're talking and he mentions that he's 41. And he says in such a way that I realize he thinks I'm much younger than that. I was a little shocked that he was only 41. He looked more like 55. And, if I must say so myself, I'm looking pretty good lately. I got depressed after getting dumped recently (we're still friends) and put on 10-15 pounds, but I've gotten most of that off now.

And appologies to anyone I may have offended with my rant this morning. I was angry about something completely unrelated.

when someone thinks you are younger than you are? I had a person I truly admire tell an interviewer that I was a 'young lady', which made my day (along with the fact that he mentioned my name in the interview!)
