Gigantic threads

does anyone else do this? when i see a thread with more than about 50 replies, i often dont bother posting. I dunno, it just seems like kind of a waste of time, since when i post in large threads, i NEVER get responded to

3. me too, unless my take hasn't been voiced yet, and in cases such as

skittles post. it can't hurt anyway, I figure, though I did hesitate before I posted, thinking "like my condolences really are going too mean anything" but figured may as well.

though sometimes if I miss posting in a condolence/support type thread I feel bad, like I'm being selective, but sometimes I just feel completely at loss for words, but more often just didn't get a chance to read every page of DU that day. amazing how much time I spend on here, but lately it's been the only site I visit unless I need some info on something like directions or airfare. this is the best site ever!

unless I started it or it is particularly interesting to me, I don't bother.

There are also a couple of posters who start threads that get gigantic and they rarely ever bother to respond to much of anything in the thread they started. I don't see the point in responding to them.

or very few to try to figure out why,sometimes they about something i have no clue about and try to ask or joke along or get ignored or piss someone off.i respond to my own crap alot too for kicks
