Child porn on ex-county official's computer, witness says
The owner of a computer-repair business testified here Tuesday in Chester County Court that he discovered child pornography while fixing a computer that belonged to former Berks County Administrator Gary F. Henderson.

Thomas Hyland, owner of Hyland Technologies, Pottstown, testified that on Feb. 3, 2003 the day Henderson resigned as county administrator Henderson asked Hyland if he could repair a computer to recover data.

Henderson, 58, Upper Uwchlan Township, Chester County, was forced to resign his $98,000-a-year Berks job after six female county employees accused him of sexual harassment.

Three of the employees filed complaints against Henderson with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The cases are pending.

Henderson is being tried by Judge Anthony A. Sarcione on charges Henderson had 230 images of child pornography on his computer.

Raymond E. Kutler, a Montgomery County detective, testified that Henderson's computer hard drive had four sections when Kutler examined it March 26, 2003.

Kutler gave a detailed account of how pornography was in one of the sections and divided into files including preteens, animals, same-sex boys and same-sex girls.
