Does anyone else in the midwest see snow.
Holy guacamole. We have six inches or so on the trees that have not lost leaves. Our trees broke and made our neighbor's driveway impassable. I hate winter. I want to strangle the next person who says, "Well, I just love the change of the seasons!" Sir or Madam, BLESS YOU. Get up here with a shovel and a snow blower and have some big fun. And, don't forget the chainsaw. And, don't forget your gloves and your boots and your hat and your long undies and don't forget to clean your gutters and don't forget to make certain the sump pump is operable and don't forget some batteries and some gasoline ...

Oh, well.

1. Yes, but mixed in with the rain.
Bleh...dreary day. 10 gallons of gas, the winter wear basket has been by the front door for weeks, and we've got batteries coming out of our ears!! ;) :hi:

5. Where are you?
I think the snow is supposed to miss us by about 50 miles. I'm outside of Madison, WI. The sky is that steel-grey snow color, however... :scared:

But my sister (DUer 'Birthday') and her family just left about an hour ago to drive from Milwaukee to Columbus, Ohio. I hope they don't hit too much crappy weather.

17. As close to the lake as I live....I probably will get very little.
It is raining and the wind is howling down the street, but the lake temperature is still 50 degrees (so said Tom Skilling the damn repuke on the noon news) and that should keep us more in the rain.

Let's hope he is more correct about this than who he voted for earlier this month.

Just heard on the news that the drive downtown from O'Hare is 2 hours 20 minutes.

And that I-90 is backed up all the way to Huntly!

11. About 5 inches on the ground
this morning. It is beautiful because it is the first snow, big wet flakes, just lovely. Now I have driven in it, trudged through it, shoveled the drifts away from the barn so it can stop and not do it again until the next year.

31. Yes, I am thinking we live in the same part of the world.
I have had my share of the particular beauty that is snow. It is pretty. I have seen it. I have seen enough for now. We only have four more months to appreciate the snow. Also, let's not forget the ice and the sleet. Ah, the mid west. At my home, every bit of cold weather clothing is wet and stinky.

12. Yep, snowing pretty steadily here
St. Louis, rain all morning changed to snow about noon.

Doesn't seem to be sticking to roads yet, but a light dusting appearing on grass.

This is the first time we've seen snow this year. Haven't even had to scrape the windshield yet.
