What movie should I rent tonight?
I watched "The Hunting of the President" last night and it was great.

I think I want a thinker not a comedy. Not necessarily recent but no earlier than 1965.

Of course I'd love something optimistic that makes me feel hopeful that somehow, some way, Kerry may be inaugurated on Jan 20th.

All the President's Men is not an option.

I need to escape. Help.

I'm going to rent it; I heard great stuff about it and I saw it at Blockbuster when I was renting that Supersize documentary.

10. Angels in America
Is quite possibly the best thing I've ever seen on TV. Ever. Well worth six hours of your time, especially on a holiday weekend!

It's a story about people. People coming together - sometimes despite themselves. Not really a comedy, but there are laughs. It reminded me to have hope, and to keep an eye on what's happening right around me.

Just my opinion.

An excellent feel-good movie that'll remind you why we're liberals and what our country is SUPPOSED to be all about.

22. What is it about Donnie Darko?
I fell asleep the first time I saw it, and barely made it thru the second time. I watched it again just to see if I missed something. It made much less sense the second time thru.

17. "Warm Water Under A Red Bridge"
A thinker, eh? And one which feeds, not starves, your optimism?

This one's astonishing. You can Netflix it. Japanese, w/English subtitles.

21. Saved
About kids at a Christian school. It was funny (perhaps not as funny as it should have been), but was also a thinker. The movie is far deeper than I expected, and has some of the best characterization I've ever seen.

you've most likely already seen it but LOR-Return of the King has one line that sparks a little hope in me everytime I hear it. That's why I keep watching the movie over.

"I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails... when we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. This day, we fight!" - Aragorn
