NEED Illinois/Indiana advice NOW

my sister, DUer 'Birthday', is on her way to Columbus, Ohio, for Thanksgiving with her in-laws. She's still north of Chicago, on I-90. TRAFFIC couldn't suck more!!! Or COULD IT??? :scared:

Can someone from the area give me a quick weather/road condition update so I can advise as to whether they should proceed, or turn back now and come to my house tomorrow for Thanksgiving instead?

How long will it take to get around Chicago???

edited to add that Indiana Hwy dept doesn't report on weather/highway conditions until December, :eyes: so we won't even know what they'll be facing on their eastbound route out of Chicago...

3. I live about half an hour north of I-90 in SW Michigan

and the weather is pretty darn bad. The temperature is supposed to be 37 tomorrow so the snow should melt.
