Cellphone or Blackberry with internet-browsing?
Do you have a cellphone or Blackberry with internet-browsing?

If so, does it get "Yahoo! driving directions" or mapquest?

3. Each toy does different things
I use both a cell phone with internet-browsing and something like a Blackberry. I don't know if it is still the case, but when I purchased it, Blackberrys didn't have service where I live. Instead I got a T900 from Motorolla. It just sends and receives email--one of those toys which does one thing but does it well.

I can read my email over my cell phone, but I hate to use it to send email due to the difficulty of typing messages without a real keyboard. The T900 has a tiny key board, which is good enough for an email message.

While I sometimes just browse on my cell phone, I prefer to connect it to my Palm (Tungsten C) which gives me a larger screen, keyboard, and better software (email and web browser) than the phone has.

After all this, I'm afraid I haven't really answered your question. I don't use mapquest, although it is possible with my Palm (either connected to cell phone or if I'm in a WiFi hot spot) to get maps.

5. So you have a Palm Pilot, and you attach it to a cellphone
for internet access?

10. Ocassionally
Now that I have access to high speed internet around so frequently, I don't need the cell phone to Palm hook up very often, but there are times it has come in handy. I've used it more for email when traveling, such as when I'm in a hotel (becoming more rare) without internet access. I used it a couple of times during the summer while traveling to a resort which is a 4-5 hour drive, getting email from the office while in the car. (I have this psychological preference to doing work by email rather than phone while traveling. Somehow I don't find answering email to be as intrusive as actually talking on the phone.)

8. Don't you just love your Tungsten C
I bought mine in August when the state of MO had a sales tax holiday for back to school purchases. It was the final thing I needed to complete the conversion to the Macintosh platform....

11. I love the Tungsten C
I've had mine for over a year, upgrading from a Handera.

I had no use for the WiFi initially, but in the past several months I've put in wireless networks at both my home and office, plus have been to several places with WiFi access.

9. Oh I don't know...I don't have a Blackberry although
I look longingly at them when I see them. I am not deemed worthy to have such electronica at work. Oh well if I had that kind of thing they would expect me to work all the time.
