If such people are so decrepit, they can get a HANDICAP STICKER OR PLATE. They are closer to the doors.
Prescription drop-off/pick-up is located very close to the pharmacy entrance, NOT THE MAIN ENTRANCE.
EVERY time I've been at the pharmacy, I noted I was THE ONLY ONE THERE. No customers were around, all 4 of the pharm clerks were doddering around. How is that supposed to be a person going in for a problem with their prescription?
One couple I'd seen came out with 6 big bags of groceries. Didn't seem feeble to me, neither of them. It's amazing how quickly they packed up their goodies and left, too.
And I have yet to see one person who is afflicted with something coming back to their vehicle. And if they had such a health problem, they should have a handicap sticker or license plate. Again, closer to the doors.
So if I've mistaken one or two of them, then maybe they can do the same thing when THEY see miscreants at the prescription drop-off point. So much the better.
If the person dropping off the prescrip had to go pee, well then I chucked the stone at the wrong person.
And, again, those particular spots are for drop-offs only or pick-ups only. The sign made it clear. And I have a problem with people who abuse it. You go in, drop it off, vamoose. Youdon't park, drop off the prescrip, spend 20 minutes buying whateveritissoIcanavoidmorestupidstereotypesthrownatme, going to pick it up and leave. I did ask the pharms the intent of the signs.
Unless they had to pee, there aren't too many excuses for their sort of selfish behavior. There are just as many good responses to your admittedly good points.
I know: I'll get a mini-cam, do an Andy Rooney, and covertly show who is abusing the system and who isn't. I know whistleblowers are damned in America, but screw that. Some people need to take a stand instead of making excuses. And if I did wrongfully accuse somebody, well I'm sure they'll find a way to get my number - in which case I will justifiably apologize unconditionally.
And, yes, there are times when I don't pull such a stunt. If I saw other people in the prescrip area, then I wouldn't. The chance exists that they are genuine. But if nobody is at the counter when I get there and back, it's far more likely somebody is abusing the spot than anything else. Not always, but most likely. And don't forget, the prescrip parking area is not as convenient for people as the handicap areas. There's a BIG difference.
Or, maybe as 50,000 people have told me in the past, I just need to get laid.
