Help, please.

Ok I love firefox, but its really pissing me off!

For the last two days, its been sticking, like I'll be in the middle of typing and it will just freeze and it will take a couple seconds for the letters to come up. It does this every other word I type, its driving me insane!!

I thought downloading firefox 1.0 would help, its worse now!

And my favorites are stupid and have been forever, I add a new site and it just stops, the site isnt added and the whole browser crashes.

I have no idea why its doing this, I've run ad-aware and spybot, nothing there.


Anyone have any ideas? :shrug:

On edit: sites take forever to load, they stick too! :cry:

"Begin finding when you begin typing" in the Accessibility options in the Advanced tab in options.

Maybe one of the them is interfering.

Do you have a good virus scanner? You really need to. If this was happening before youn installed firefox and it's still happening, you have other, browser unrelated, problems.

Get a firewall, first and foremost, and try downloading Hijack This and see what it tells you.

Its weird though because, IE Works fine, I'm using it now I just cant handle the sticking AHHH

I don't think it's firefox thats doing it but give the experts a try.

weird problems like this are caused by a clogged up registry. Try this product http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm (it's free) and just check. If you come up with more than 200 or so reg problems, go over to the geek group and ask them. Don't delete anything before you ask. You can really screw things up if you delete the wrong reg key.

for the help, I need to work on some other issues, which I hope some of those sites will help with, but at least it doesnt stick and it loads likes its suppose to :D
