Of course, if we're talking FAKE band names, hands-down my choice would have to be "SLED DOG AFTERBIRTH"!

26. Free Beer
It was a punk band from the Bay area in the 80's. There always were inumerable bands in the lineup, and when "Free Beer" appeared on the flyer it made people think that..that..well, you get it.

There was this other local punk band called "Flock of Trendies", making fun of the band name "Flock of Seagulls". Punks really sneered at "trendies" and "poseurs" in those days.

though I was amused when a band called Dick Stiff and the Swinging Testicles played my college when I was on junior year abroad in England 20 years ago.

Of clown-themed bands, Insane Clown Posse. Hey, you didn't say they had to be good!

Of bands that actually enjoyed any level of success, The Who.

Great band name.

This summer we were at the Experience Music Project in Seattle. They have alittle room where you can go with the family and be a band. (It's fun for the kids!) Anyway, our band name was "Orange Alert".
