5. Great - fast paced - exciting - meaningful
Not dealing with rednecks and assholes all day. Even though it is a country station...that's the only problem, I can't stand country.

I thought I was gonna be on Cknw today as I announced a murder sentencing in Penticton, the network picked it up, but I still don't know if NW played it.

"Fears of being booed are one reason why U.S. President George W. Bush will be giving a speech in Halifax next week and not to a joint session of Parliament.

"We didn't see the need and, frankly, we didn't want to be booed. There are other, better venues," one U.S. official told The Canadian Press on Wednesday"

____________
Hah~ his spokespeople don't even try to hide the fact that * is a fraidy cat.

"While it's not clear what the president's agenda will be in Halifax, he is expected to thank the Canadian navy for their contributions to the war in the war on terror. Bush may also thank the people of Halifax, Moncton and Newfoundland and Labrador who took in thousands of stranded tourists after the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington"

We don't want his thanks. His presence demeans the efforts of all Maritimers who were happy to help.

7. Stranded Yanks
PBS did a documentary, called "Stranded Yanks", about what the Canadian people and government did on September 11th and those long days after. With all the planes and passengers diverted from US destinations being graciously allowed to land in Canada, and all the Canadian people helping the stranded passengers find food, water, shelter, clothing, medicine, etc., etc. (too much to list) - and not one acknowledgment or thank you from the US government.

Sometimes when I find the world to be an overwhelming cesspool, I watch that video and it reminds me that there is a lot of good in the world too. (Unfortunately, sometimes not quite enough down here.)

Thank you Canada,
Make7

9. Dumb question, but does bush not realize
that Canada's much bigger than one maritime island?

We took in a bunch of stranded Americans three thousand miles away in Vancouver, too. And many points in between. Donated barrels of blood, too.

Keep your stale, moldy thank-you, bush, you GDMFSOB.

10. Bush was surprised to hear
that they have black people in Brazil.

He asked Condi if it was true.

The only reason he is going to Halifax, is because he has been repeatedly assured that the people there are tame and won't growl when they see his hump.
He was warned that the Parlimentarians are VERY prejudiced against Diebold-backed Supreme Court appointees who have aphasia.
