while fighting a rape charge. I loved red dwarf. But I hated the newer ones. i have the first 4-5 series on tape, taped the entire next series I needed, then taped over it. I don't like the actress as 'Kochanski'. I wish they'd scored CP Grogan. Then written episodes as good or better than the early years. But maybe she saw it as so much shite, she (wisely) stayed away.

I like the 'despair squid' episode a lot. But all of the early ones, especially when they fuck with time, are really really good.

10. Craig Charles rocks. I am so glad that got cleared up.

But the series has it's ups and downs. Some episodes are sheer genius others are just stupid. That one where Lister ended up a brain was really dumb.

11. yeah I think that one is in the later series

I haven't even watched those. They're a travesty. It's like the writers took 'Benny Hill' pills or something.

I liked the first two series best of all. They had an edge that was smoothed off when they introduced Kryten as a permanent character.

And the anecdote about Petersen's sentient homing shoes was fucking hilarious!

Like most people, I didn't like it so much after series 6.
