5. My wife is a registered republican
Does that count?

That said, she voted for Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004. I'm really not sure why she's registered as a republican. Probably because her father took her to register when she was 18.

She really doesn't have a republican bone in her body. She's very much environmentally conscious, she's very loyal, loving and compassionate and she works as a nurse looking after critically ill children.

6. I would not even knowingly DATE a Republican
(Unless it was an oldfashioned Rockefeller Republican who would probably be a Democrat now, anyway if he were still alive)

10. No way in hell, never in my life time

I will not let one come into my house, they voted for a killer of women and children, a man who is killing our economy, they need to
be somewhere else but around me and mine, yuk.

9. Date? Maybe. / Marry? Never!
I dated a republican girl from a republican family once. Things went better when we just had sex,and didn't talk. The talking part was what broke us up.

14. If I don't KNOW whether or not a guy is a Republican,
I don't know him well enough to marry him.

And the answer is NO. There are enough potential things to fight about in a marriage. Having the same values removes one whole category of disputes from the table.

21. I'm old enough to
be Britney Spears mother, and if I had a daughter that age, I would not have named her "Britney," and even if I were to have a daughter with a trendoid suburban name like that, I would have spelled it correctly ("Brittany").

15. I Did - The First Time
Ex-wife #1 was a Republican. She changed after she came out as a lesbian after we divorced, and realized there was no place for her in the GOP.

16. Sure, under one condition.
Since she'd be a Republican, in the name of the family values which her party espouses, she'd have to defer to me as the boss of the family. Since I'd then be the boss, I'd declare that this is a Democratic household and that I don't want to hear any Republican BS under MY roof.

18. I wouldn't marry anyone
But I wouldn't rule out a relationship with anyone just on that one criteria. I know a number of mixed-politics couples who work just fine, mainly because they tend to be fairly moderate and respect each others' views and their right to have them. My dad is a hard core conservative Republican married to a quite liberal Dem. I know some others who are the same.

22. NEVER.
The chasm between the Dem's and the Rat-pug's has never been greater. It shows no sign of coming closer together. My home is my sanctuary. I'd never have it polluted by a Misguided Miscreant.

But I'm married already, to a hard-core Democrat, so I can say that safely.

Marriage can be hard enough with you're on the same wavelength politically. Why make it harder than it has to be?

25. No Chance
I'm open-minded, but there's a point, you know?

I think I'd prefer someone who doesn't even get much into politics, the regular Josephine types. The one's I know voted for Kerry.

27. Never would marry or date a Repuke. Course I'm a female and don't need
a Judgmental Husband acting like my Dad. Have an open minded smart hubby, who loves me and encourages my "wacky" ideas and in fact is more than a willing participant.

28. No. Never. And, how would I not know
my potential mate was Republican.

If I found out I was dating a repub, I would instantly stop it. I would wish for every bit of affection, every show of generosity or kindness, every bit of pleasure I brought to the relationship, to be taken back. And then, I would wish upon them that all the shit they contribute to the world be returned to them ten-fold.

Then I would take a long shower. And then kick myself for ever ever ever being so stupid as to let a scummy person get that close to me.
