1. Anti Virus
Have you tried panda software, you can actually call and speak to them. Also, Norton has been decent.

her computer is so screwed up she had to uninstall McAfee.

Its a company out of Germany, and its one of the more stable ones I've ever used, and it has new updates all the time.
