At least lately -- the last year has been great for zombie movies. "Shaun of the Dead" is easily in my top 5 of all time, right up there with "The Lion in Winter" and "Star Wars."

Might I recommend "The Zombie Survival Guide" from Crown Publishing?

It's funny, but not as funny as it could have been. I think perhaps that's on purpose, as the author never gets out of character, consistently presenting the threat of a zombie incursion as a real possibility.

I've just never gotten around to it. The implosion of zombie movies this year made my day. First there was the re-written version of Dawn of the Dead, then there was Shaun of the Dead...and now George Romero is filming his fourth installment to the Dead series (Land of the Dead). I'm totally pumped and stoked.

It is rather eerie because it seems something similar to zombieism (is that even a word?) could happen. Well, look at the brainwashed morans who are praising Dumbya himself. That would be along the line of zombification. ;)

Most people I know didn't get to see it, because it was in such limited release. When Shaun was going to the store, and the dead had risen from their graves rampaging across London, Shaun didn't notice because they seemed the same as always to him.

I have a friend who has turned into a living zombie. "Well, while I was at WalMart, I registered to vote Republican. Then I went home, smoked some weed, and watched Survivor." Now, I don't particularly have anything against either pot or Survivor, but it points to a larger pattern...

I didn't know Romero's new movie had a title yet. The remake of Dawn of the Dead has been greenlit for a sequel from what I hear, BTW. I just pray it doesn't turn into a series of bad 80's "Return of the Living Dead Part Two" movies.

I workde on it...it's about loggers who are turned into zombies when they are exposed to an experimental growth hormone used in trees.

We used 50 gallons of stage blood in the first three days of shooting!

We are too. My dad made me watch Night of the Living Dead when I was 4!
