Did anyone else make Turkey Jerky last night?

Yesterday, I managed to take a 22 pound Turkey and turn it into 5 pounds of Turkey Jerky.

How did I manage to do this? I fell asleep while my Turkey was baking in the oven and I didn't wake up until several hours after my timer went off.

I wanted leftover Turkey and now I don't have left overs for pot pies, salads, soup, etc. etc.

I should have bought the small pre-made rotisserie 5-7 pound Turkey that they sell at Whole Foods for $30.00. Instead I bought a large Turkey that I turned into shoe leather. :crazy: :dunce: :hurts: :grr:

1. I did something very similar once

It was my first year to host Thanksgiving dinner for the in-laws. I was so busy trying to keep the peace with everyone I forgot the bird.

It was edible, barely. :)

When every I see National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, I think of that bird.

I haven't slept right since the stolen election. When I fell asleep I was dead to the world.

My Cat's wanted Turkey :grr:

Oh well, next time I will buy it at Whole Foods instead.
