Now on PAX - How teen sex is killing kids!
Not guns, not cars, not Ritalin - SEX!

WTF?

Never mind that throughout human history, and even before, kids have been having sex. Usually older men and young women or girls. With the onset of menstruation, women have been having sex and reproducing. I believe teens even have sex in the BIBLE! Lot even has sex with his daughters.

How have humans survived?

Why through fear, of course. The one thing the neocons will use to destroy mankind.

1. #1 cause of death; BIRTH
Sex isn't just killing teens. My sources say it;s killing ALL of us, and not in some randomized or even predjudiced way.

Sex = procreation
Procreation = Birth
Birth = Life
Life = Death

There's just no gettin around it. Damned life cycle!

For the first logical explanation I've heard behind reeper behavior. I feel I am just one more step to coming to some understanding with them so we can coexist peacefully... along with the fish. ;)

7. They did some documentary on TRIO a while back
that was really good. Showed how stupid these people are. Documented this one guy and his little "ministry" and how he told kids that sex will ruin their lives, financially destroy them, destroy their families, etc. I half-expected him to start saying sex would cause every kitten in the world to die a slow death.

It was SO over the top, his shtick. And I felt sorry for the kids in the program.

They interviewed one couple, getting married at age 19 and 20. They were getting married so young because they couldn't stand waiting anymore. I say, they are both adults, have safe sex and wait and see if you want to marry this person because you love them or just because you are hornier than hell.

Ridiculous.

8. Fear is bad?
My problem with the statement you made about the neocons is that neocons are not the only ones peddling fear. I understand the context (ie create fear and remove freedoms) but fear is what motivates everyone to make new laws - from dem to rethug.

How we raionalize that fear is what seperates the parties I think at times. Example: The right talks about fear of terrorists and more attacks, the left talked about fear of what would happen to gays in the U.S. if * was re-elected and abortion becoming illegal.

We felt the right was exaggerating their fears in hopes of making people more dependent on them to stave off those fears. Because of the unknown variables (ie terrorists) and quantity the fear they proposed was more vague and fed into the emotions of each person and how they interpreted what that fear meant (ie, being a broader based and vague fear they had only to throw possible scenarios and the imagination of the individual voter filled in the rest).

Our fears on the left are generally more quantifiable (ie, if * wins fear of gay marriage ban and roll backs of work accomplished) the only problem it presents in a broader context is that it leaves little to the imagination of the general voter, so their nightmares don't get interjected and so the fear is not as great.

Just my 2 cents :)

10. Teen Sex?
A little history, Biblical and all.

At the age of 13, a young Jewish Boy declares before the entire community "Now I am a man!", and that he takes on a man's rights and responsibilities. He will be married by the time he's 14, usually to a widow years his senior. If he is sucessful in his life, odds are he will outlive his first wife and take a second; she, more likely than not, will be younger than 15.

THAT is the Biblical pattern, the pattern followed for centuries not only by Jews but around the world: Adult at 13, married within the year, a parent by 15. Teen Sex is not a aberation, but the norm.

The owner's name is Paxson, and it's Latin for peace (The network's first logo was a dove).

22. It's a double-entendre
It's a pleasant coincidence for Mr. Paxson that his name has "PAX" in it.

PAX TV is strictly family entertainment -- Murders are OK, but sex is absolutely forbidden. But at least, in spite of being a super-Fundamentalist, Paxson seems to avoid making overt political points with his station.

For that, you have to watch Mr. Murdoch's FOX TV.
