So the Chicago Tribune spiked todays "Get Fuzzy" cartoon...
...for not meeting their "standards for taste". Right...like a paper that endorsed Bush knows anything about good taste!

1. It took me three readings to get it this morning.
Bucky is one subversive dude. Retarded, but subversive.

7. Bucky's got his thumb (which you can't see)
WAYYY up!

Now... just WHERE does he have it? And why is Satchel so happy about it?

3. I guess they 'can't handle the truth'.
The movie sucked.... according to my kids and hubby (who liked the graphics).

But HANKS is a repug.

10. The movie was a gross embellishment on the book
I've read the book countless times. The graphics were great (can't wait to see it on IMAX) but it was just an interpretation. The little kids at the theater were thrilled here.

However, the comic strip...BA HA HA!!!

11. Um ok. Tom Hanks is a democrat
unless you missed him at the premiere of F9/11 or recently on Letterman complaining about the election.

I have no clue about the Polar Express, but Tom Hanks is definitely a democrat!

20. You sound like a freeper who is obsessed with actor's political leanings
I do not care about celebrities politics. If I like an actor or actress or a director, who they vote for does not matter one iota.

13. LOL!!!!!!!!!
I usually hate that comic, but that was F'ing hilarious.

And it's pretty obvious that the Polar Express is a stinking load of dung, just like "The Cat in the Hat" before it and Jim Carrey as "The Grinch"

:puke:

Oh, that's a SHAME. A lot of people would have gotten a great laugh out of that.

My guess is that Polar Express had a monster ad in the paper...

18. I LOVE Get Fuzzy
I have several of the collections.

I think the characters Bucky and Satchel are among the best characters in any comic strip, right up there with the Bloom County crew and Calvin and Hobbes.
