LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actress Julia Roberts gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, early on Sunday in a Los Angeles hospital, People magazine reported on its Web site, citing an anonymous source.
No further details were provided.

The 37-year-old star, who won an Oscar for her performance in "Erin Brockovich" (2000), married the twins' father, cameraman Danny Moder, 35, in 2002

And, Nooooo, I don't give a flip about her - some do.

5. Oh my, I think that's quite early
Was she even at 30 weeks? I must investigate further.

11. I was under the impression she was due in December, so
I think she was further along than 30 weeks. I hope so.

14. As I read more
I think you're right. She might be 4 or 5 weeks early but I dont' think she's more early than that.

38. Well, she claimed a Jan. due date
But for obvious reasons, celebrities often give incorrect due dates. Yeah, I care in a casual sort of way, I suppose because of the fact that a very close relative is also expecting very soon. I don't know why everyone has to be so very vicious when a happening in an actor's life occurs and is reported. In the case of Julia Roberts, she hardly seeks any publicity beyond her films, and in fact usually does not discuss her private life at all. It's the sleazy tabloid and paparazzi who do this to her. I'm sure she would be quite happy if they never took another picture or wrote another word about her private life as long as she lives. She really hates it.

40. I agree.
I have no idea what prompts nasty comments about her. I'm sure she will be very happy to get back to the relative solitude of New Mexico when the babies are old enough to travel.

10. When people talk about "big lips", I wonder how they feel about
Edited on Sun Nov-28-04 04:23 PM by tjdee
black people's lips, and whether they think that to themselves.

I am black, though, and I'm oversensitive with this issue after I had a pretty close friend tell me about Mick Jagger's "nigger" lips....and she didn't seem to think that I'd mind that, as my lips were normal, for me.

AND, women's "lips" aren't swollen after giving birth.
:spank:

12. TO all the people discussing Julia's "cooch"
First - may I kindly ask that you cease and desist? Some of the mothers here might be offended . . . Pretty please?

Second - do we know this baby wasn't born by C-section anyway?

20. I quite like Hazel, actually.
I wouldn't have chose it...but it seems a celebrity trend, choosing older names...like Max, etc. It's leaps and bounds above Apple, certainly LOL.

Phinnaeus seems difficult to spell and awfully pretentious. I imagine they'll call him Finn, that will be way cool.

24. For me, Hazel is just one thing:
That show from the '60's about the obnoxious maid. Blecccch.

A name all depends on one's personal associations, I suppose. Strictly subjective!

21. No joke Julia is talented, witty, and oh yeah, a DEMOCRAT!
When asked if she was a republican, Julia responded, "why whould anyone want to be a member of a party that falls between reptile and repugnant in the dictionary?"

Good luck to her and her new family.

She also said that, when the news about Jenna/Babs buying liquor underage or whatever they did.

She said the reptile/repugnant remark at a Gore fundraiser.... she seems to be a very good person. And, a Democrat.

25. I like her
I don't really care about celeb's private lives (towit-I don't buy, read or look at gossip rags or watch gossip shows), other than I hope that they're happy well-adjusted people.

I hope they are healthy babies. And that she and her husband are happy.

And what's with people posting nasty shit that had to be deleted in this thread?-that's rhetorical.

she said that she has no plans for a nanny, unless one is needed on the set.

She is the most down to earth celebrity out there.

39. She was also spotted at a laundromat
doing her own laundry. Her washer had broken down so she had to go to the laundromat. She said she *always* does her own laundry.

Yes, she's very down-to-earth.
