My freeper mother just came into my office to tell me that we should

buy "gold mining stocks" or go Everbank.com and buy CD's which are based on Euros...or somesuch. I asked her where she got this from (after asking her if she knew anything about Bush and gold mining) and she said the sub for Bob Brinker, a woman from Chicago, advised this.

Now, for days my mother has been poopooing Krugman, Roach, and now Robt. Reich.....suddenly she's talkng gold???

She's another Freeper who hasn't been as happy as she should be since Bush as "elected." Earlier today, she didn't go ballistic when I mentioned the French lease buyback program...(although she did say she hated the French....)

She's starting to worry about her money.....(I was already!)

If she wanted to live like a Republican, she should have VOTED DEMOCRAT.

Put her in a home.

Coming from someone with a Republican mother who won't listen to a word I say politically---it is like she should be a democrat, but she doesn't understand republicans---it is weird situation

And I love her. She has always been a great mother and a great person who donates a large part of her income to charities. I hate her politics, but as a person she is awesome.

Apparently the realities of the reckless, feckless, irresponsible Boosh regime's fiscal policies are beginning to settle into the minds of the folks encamped in the Freeperstani caravanserai. Under their turbans and burquas, the Freepers are beginning to realize that Gee Dubya's policies might affect them as harshly if not worse than those "welfare liberals" they like to bad-mouth.

I confess that I'm thinking of opening a foreign bank account myself--denominated in Euros, and I voted for John F. Kerry.

but I love her, and I like her personally---she is a very nice, very generous person who took very good care of me and my brother growing up.
She is one of the nicest people I know and her politics saddens me--but hey not every body is perfect.

you let her live long enough to vote democrat next time! Teasing of course, but you can always change one voter for the next election.

I guess we should all be glad that some are starting to refuse the koolaid?
