Poll question: DU Apparell poll, what do we wear?
I guess this is pretty trivial, but I just happened to wonder about this. I gave away all my suits & ties 25 years ago and haven't worn either since. My 'wardrobe' consists of T-shirts, jeans, tennis shoes, white sox, briefs and sweatshirts/pants for winter...my partner of 24 years wears the exact same thing (we have no idea who "owns" which clothes, so they're interchangable except for blue jeans and shoes...he's way taller & has very large feet) :D

1. 58 years old and have never worn a suit and tie
for me getting dressed up is a clean pair of coveralls.
I can't understand what the appeal of a suit and tie is, looks like a clown suit to me.

7. LOL! Good on ya. I -had- to "dress up" for years when I flew a plane for
a large corp. They wanted me to wear a uniform, but I drew the line at that point...said "nope, I won't do it." So they bought me expensive suits, so I compromised with the free shit, but after that company was sold off along with 'my' airplane, I got rid of all that crap. :D
Since then, I've only provided my apparently well-qualified services to people who don't give a shit what the driver's wearing. ;-) There is one particular very wealthy and powerful person (CEO of a well known corporation) who requests me when he needs a backup pilot. I go so far as to wear a white shirt, with jeans, doesn't seem to bother him.
:D

4. I wear jeans and shirts
or sweaters for work. I've worn a tie, for kicks, a couple of times, back in the 80s, just to shock people (I'm female, and I liked dressing male)

5. nuthin for the ladies?
I wear suits on occassion, but mostly skirts and sweaters. I design and make my own clothes though, so does that give me any cred?

8. Oh, gosh, yes it does! I apologize for making this so 'male-oriented'...
it was insensitive of me to frame it in the context of my own venue.
Maybe I can still add some choices, thanks for pointing that out!

9. I wear suits when I can, 'cause......
nothing bothers people as much as a 40 year old 'long haired' guy in a great suit, and real linemans boots. Think Steve Vai in a suit.

Work is jeans and t-shirts so fun to dress up.

10. Depends on the function
Formal--nice black dress and high heels.
If I want to get my way with the opposite sex -- Low cut blouse, short skirt, high heels.(slutty? maybe, but it usually works)
My girlfriend likes it. If we go out she usually dresses up very nicely.

14. I love wearing suit and tie
In fact, I'm wearing one now. When I came home a few hours ago, I just felt like having a martini and eating supper while still wearing the suit.

haven't taken it off yet.

Not sure why, but I like wearing a suit.
