Will my 5 year old grow up to be a Republican?
He seems awfully hung up on "Win Ben Stein's Money".

9. yep, really I used to enjoy that show too
its not political at all. I like Robert Duvall in some movies, and I certainly am no republican.

5. The weird thing about Ben Stein -
is that in 2003-2004, he contributed quite a bit of money not only to the Shrub's presidential campaign, but quite a bit of money to Ralph Nader's campaign as well.

13. Yeah, a lot of Republicans did that.
They are the ones that fought to get him on the ballot.

15. Seems silly.
Nader got so few votes he didn't affect the election one way or the other. The R's should have saved their money.

17. Never underestimate the power of desperation.
Who would have thought they would have listened to that sleazebag O'Neill?

6. Oh, Ben isn't all that bad
From what I understand he's a fiscal conservative; not a rightwing nutjob.

11. I don't know about that.
He lambasted the 'left-wing' one day during a segment on Faux.

Plus, a lot of right-wingers gave to Nader to try and pull votes from Kerry.

7. Your #1 priority is that he not grow up to be cannon fodder!
On a serious note, I recently saw a four year old little boy dressed in a child size desert camoflage military outfit, and there were two boys who came trick or treating with toy (I hope) rifles and pro NRA billboards. I bet those kids will happily enlist for any war they can get into.

His grandpa was a Green Beret, but is very anti-war. We won't let him do that!

He was Capt Feathersword (The Wiggles) for Halloween. He was Harry Potter the year before that and Barney before that.

19. Republicans always paint Liberals as "pointy-headed elitest snobs" but
you'll be hard put to find a more elitest snob than Ben Stein.
