So I guess the girl's got universal appeal.

And who'd've thought Teri Hatcher would be so good and winsome??

and despite all the hype, there were some moral lessons in last night's show. I've never quite understood why (besides that ad) the right gets so excited about Desperate Housewives over the other shows on TV.

26. They are upset because..
it portrays suburbia in a less than perfect light. You have the stay at home mom who is so stressed and unfulfilled, she takes her kids prescription pills. You have the Martha Stewart clone in a miserable, empty marriage. You have the trophy wife having an affair with her underage gardener.

As far-fetched as it all is, it's still probably a little bit closer to the reality of upper middle class white suburban America - their pettiness, loneliness, frustrations, boredoms and resulting immorality - than Touched by an Angel or Seventh Heaven.

Like girlgonemad, I missed it. :(

Oh and girlgonemad--they will probably do a lot of re-runs when the season is over. Just after the season ends one can usually get all caught up on an entire season. So there may be some hope for us.

25. Are you sure???
last chance to back out

Mike and susan had a hot date planned. She had to be at his house to let in a repairman and found his huge stack of money and gun. She got too curious and went upstairs to the bathroom. Put the money and gun in sink, fell through the floor and had to wait for help. Mike came home and found her then got pissed cause she had been "snooping" they broke up for like 4 hours then he went to her house and they had HOT STEAMY sex.

Bree and Rex covered up their son's crime by taking the car to a bad neighborhood and watched some creep steal it. The kid is NOT upset that he almost killed Mrs. Solis.

Gabrielle and John appear to be broke up. john confessed to the priest.

Lynnette dreamed about killing herself, then admitted she felt guilty that she wasn't a better mother (hell with those brats, I would feel the same way)

Paul killed Mrs. HUBER. She was a bitch anyway

29. Further....
Mrs. Huber appears to be the one that wrote the mysterious "I know what you did note." that has to do with the death of the mysterious baby "Dana".

Bree's son is showing some real sociopathic tendencies in his parents covering up for him and Bree is feeling remorse over it.

I'm lousy at remembering characters names, but I'll do my best.
Brie and her husband covered up for their son's hit and run on Gabriel's (? the Hispanic neighbor) mother in law. They brought the car to a poor section of town and watched it get stolen. The kid now knows he's gotten away with it and is acting like a jerk. Brie worries, probably rightly so, that her son has no soul.
Susan snoops around the cute male neighbor's house and finds a ton of money and a gun. Like an idiot, she decides to count it all, then gets scared and runs upstairs, dumps the money in the sink, and manages to fall through the floor and get stuck. The guy comes home, sees what has happened and tells her they are through. They later make up.
Linette (? the blond neighbor with the horrible kids) freaks out and leaves the kids at Susan's. She first fantasizes about killing herself. The Ritalin has obviously affected her mind. She goes and sits in a ball field, where Brie and Susan come to talk to her. They tell her motherhood is tough, and they had a lot of trouble with their kids as well. Linette asks why people never talk about these things. She feels much better.
Mary Alice's husband thinks Edie was the one blackmailing his deceased wife so puts out a hit on her. The hit man discovers it was really that nosy neighbor Mrs. whatever her name is. The husband confronts Mrs. whatsit and hits her with a blender. It looks like she is dead.
Fantastic episode. That and the Wire are my favorite shows. Naturally they run against each other, but I finally got TIVO.

46. Thank you ALL for the great spoilers! I feel so much better
now. LOL! I was kind of having a withdrawal not knowing what happened this week.

Is it just me or is Bree's husband the worst father EVER?! What kind of idiot tries to buy his kid's affection, because he doesn't want the kid moving in with him? What's worse, buys a kid that has demonstrated aggression (breaking a kid's nose with the locker) a fast, sports car? Hello?! Seriously, I think the dad and the kid need some jail time! LOL!

Yes, I know they aren't real, but I can't help talking about them as if they are. LOL!

47. I agree he is a jerk
He is a complete jerk but has a holier than thou attitude, blaming Bree for everything.
I missed the week before this last one, so I didn't see him buy his son a sports car, or anything else that happened that week. I have a MoveOn meeting. I wasn't too concerned, because I thought they'd rebroadcast on Sat night, but they didn't.

I like her. I never did until this show, and until I started watching her on talk shows. I like that she isn't arrogant like so many Hollywood stars. She's remarkably humble for being so beautiful.
