What is "Sage-ing"?
How is it done? Do any DUers do it? How often? Where do you get the sage?

make an area, article, or body smell nice. There are many types of sage, and there are many more ways to ritually burn it. Think of all the different forms of incense and corresponding uses and that should give you an idea.

In a serious situation like to use an abalone shell and a thickly wound stick of well your everyday sticks of sage. Coupled with a set of feathers (each one has a special meaning to me) that are bound together to form a sort of wing fan. I use the wing fan gently with my right hand while holding the sage just above the abalone shell with my left hand.

For more mundane use I like white sage and just light up a bit of it and blow it out after a few seconds and blow on it some more.

Unless you have a tradition that you can be trained in, it is best to make up your own... sorry so long.

edited to tel you were to get sage:

try a local new age/progressive/head shop/occult book store... you can always order some... or grow some of your own. Try a google search as well.

3. It's traditional when
you move into a new home, maybe when the seasons change, etc. For purity and getting rid of the bad energy.

I did my office when I changed offices. 'Cause, damn, the guy who'd had it before me got laid off. Didn't want that bad karma in there, nohow. Coworkers caught me doing it (even though it was after 5) and thought I was a little weird..... but, actually, they already knew I was a little weird, ha. ;)

4. Thanks guys
I might look into that. I saw it somewhere on television and found it very interesting. I have had more than my fair share of negative energy, so perhaps I will look into it.

Thanks Again!
