Is it possible that you, my friends in Seattle, never stop by the Washington State Forum and therefore, do not know that the coolest thing happens at the People's Pub in Ballard on Monday nights at 8pm?

I thought so.

Local DU gathering every Monday night at 8pm at the People's Pub in Ballard. I'll look for a link in a minute. They apparently have a smoked beer that is to die for. You can come out and laugh at me because I have Celiac Sprue and so cannot imbibe. More importantly, you can meet some of the local crazies that gather here with all the rest of same sort of crazies nationwide - the true patriots. The one's who are actually trying to save this sorry ass country from itself.


PS yes, I know I've given you only about 1.5 hours notice for this week. But, if you can't get it together that quickly (and it did, BTW, last until midnight last week) this week, put it on your calendar for next week.

and I've only been there a handful of times. However, I would say the solution is to make your get togethers even more local, not make them for the whole of LA (not being from there I don't know what the local neighborhoods are called but you get the idea, right?)

who I don't want to leave alone. I made her work hard today, to pay her back for the shinsplints from 'walking' her yesterday. I'm convinced she lost her way during the marathon yesterday...

I miss Queen Anne, walking to the city from Queen Anne and meeting hubby for lunch. Taking the monorail and on and on. I miss Seattle so much.

They are very similar towns but when I'm in Seattle, I don't really miss Austin. When I'm in Austin, my heart aches for Seattle. I love this town.

Just wondering. I can't believe how bloody dry it's been down here in P-town. It's scary, actually.

but I agree, I'm beginning to get a bit nervous. As much as we bitch about the rain, we need this rain now because the draught months will kill us otherwise (yes, folks, in July and August, we actually have draught conditions up here - the rumors of nonstop rain are not entirely true).

It makes a difference for me, I get a nasty case of bronchitis if I am in a smoking area too long....

We hung out in the smoking area. I think we need to move to the quieter area in the front as it was awfully hard to hear everyone. There are two smokers in the group so far but they are imminently polite smokers- in other words, I'm pretty sure they would have no problem just going back there when smoking and otherwise hanging in the non-smoking section. Of course, I can't speak for them, it's just my feel about the type of people they are.

Trying to move up there, espicially to Seattle proper.....grrrr trying to nail a job first though before just up and moving.

Hearing about how awesome it is and everything...driving me insane :D

And I'm stuck in Auburn without a paddle. Oh well, maybe I can have fun some other life.
