The adoption one is my sticking-point in all abortion debates with the freepers in my family. I usuallly try to stay out of such debates by saying that both parties should just focus on making abortions as rare as possible (through comprehensive sex ed in high school, better health care/child care programs for poor women, etc.).

When that doesn't work though, I always point out that most anti-choice people would never consider adoption and that even the people who DO adopt are looking for a healthy white infant 9 times out of 10. Since they know my husband and I are already planning to adopt all of our kids when we're ready for them, it shuts them up pretty quick.
