abelman started it: trying to learn spanish questions/language software
i saw abelmans thread about wanting to learn spanish but as usual i came in on that thread about 40 responses in. but i would like to hear if anyone has used language software to learn

im thinking of rosetta stone language cds which says its used by many companies incl the state dept.
amazon reviewers said either that it was amazing and no wonder the state dept uses it
or they said, no wonder the state dept uses it because its meant for morans

it also has an option for latin america or spain spanish. because i live in a city i would like to learn latin american spanish (whew)

i know some french, like to learn logically but am open to immersion if thats what will work.

what language learning software have you used and would you or wouldnt you recommend it?

3.  We are going to learn
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 03:29 AM by crappy diem
at least conversational Spanish. We have
a computer disc package I bought at Costco
earlier this year but with everything going on,
we didn't have time to get to it.

I think it was $18.

If you have DishTv (might also be on DirecTv
or cable) look around the 9411 channel for
NASU channel? I think it it Northern
Arizona State U.

They run Spanish classes, beginning with
the basics :)

Thanks for bringing up this topic! I need
to check out both the website and the
channel listings and see when beginner
class starts and set the VCR

For us, the Rosetta package is too expensive
and right now, even community college night
class (driving in winter nights??) ix also
too spendy for 2 people, plus books etc.

Have fun.
