5. Just a 4 hour slurpfest
But that's to be expected with Madden and Packers games.

7. my brother used to say
"just pull down his pants and blow him!" when announcers would go on and on over some athlete. I still don't understand his name. It's not Farve it's FAV-RE. A dyslexic pronunciation I guess.

10. A Cajun bastardization of the name, I would guess.
He comes from rural Mississippi, not far from N'awlins, LA. I know WAY too much about him because of the damn sportscaster infatuation with him!

6. EVERY freakin' announcer practically has an orgasm talking about Favre.
So the guy won a Super Bowl against a weak AFC team. He got thumped in the next one, and hasn't gotten close again since. He's played through injuries and pain, sure, but sometimes his play has been affected by that, and he cost his team some games. (E.g., last year's loss against Philly in the playoffs.)

Sorry but I don't get the Favre love-fest.

8. ee's just a good old boy - don't mean no harm
bowng chicka bown chicka bowng...

I really think Madden wants to run down to the field and personally suck off Brett in front of Green Bay. I can't imagine what that would do to ABC, especially in light of the nipple incident, but Madden would probably pay for the fine with his own money ~and~ leave a tip. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

11. I wonder why?
"Favre celebrated his 200th straight regular-season start with three touchdown passes and yet another record in the Green Bay Packers' 45-17 rout of the St. Louis Rams on Monday night."

"``When you get drafted by Green Bay, the first thing you think of is playing with Brett Favre,'' Carroll said. ``When I go home, the first question people ask me is, `How does it feel playing with Brett Favre? What did he say in practice? How is he?'

``He is not like other people in the NFL.''"

"Favre took over for an injured Don Majkowski on Sept. 27, 1992. Since then, 11 of his backups have gone on to start for another team. Last week, Eli Manning became the 178th quarterback to have started a game in the NFL since Favre last came off the bench.

The Rams have had 13 quarterbacks in that span."

the dude is a machine, one of the greatest ever

course i might be biased, being from wisconsin and all. but i'm young enough to the point where i don't REMEMBER any other packers quarterback.

13. I like Favre but I can't stand Madden
That act got old the second year *BOOM* and unfortuneately has spawned many copycats *HE'S THE BEST PLAYER ON THE FIELD TODAY* and now you can cut and paste *BIG TOUGH GUY THERE* almost all color commentary onto any game *A LUNCHPALE KINDA GUY* with the exception of the ex-Cowboys Aikman and the Moose (with Saragusa) broadcast teams other than that *NOW THAT'S A LINEMAN THERE* it is useless.

I love it when he says what's going to happen next, and the complete opposite happens.

But I hate shit like "The way to win games is to score more points than the other team" OHHH THANK YOU! Now I get it!
