Converting American Dollars to Euros?
Anybody know how to do this? I don't mean how to perform a rate conversion, but how I can actually go about purchasing real Euros (so that when the crash comes, I can use my American dollars for heat (read: burning) and Euros for everything else (read: getting the hell out of America)).

that denominates in Euros....

2. You can go to most banks to do that .
Or you can get lucky enough and find a currency convertor bank in an airport . I still have some Euros in my wallet that I am hanging on .

3. I use my ATM card when I go abroad for the best rate
Just withdraw funds from a bank in your favourite Euro-using country.

I would beware of airports since they usually have the worst rates. American banks will charge, a flat fee plus give you a screwy rate.

4. Check out Everbank.com
You can get Euro CDs or if you need to stay liquid,
they have money market accounts too. It's getting a little late in the game for Euros though. I'm starting to look into Chinese Yaun.
