Your letter is similar to several discarded drafts I wrote the week after the election; after it was apparent that there wasn't going to be a fight. But your letter raises deeper questions than it appears: namely what the hell have we got to lose?
Why is it that Democrats have to keep their investigations below the radar?

In my opinion, Kerry would be more viable as a candidate in '08 if he supported his base, win or lose, in an effort to stand up to the obvious voter suppression that took place and fighting back against the obvious dangers of e-voting.
If he's doing anything at all, he's playing the middle of the road. My old boss (an old-time Florida politician) used to tell me that the only thing you find in the middle of the road is yellow stripes and dead skunks.... Not many leaders are found there.....
