2. Put down the bong and go back to work.
Everyone thought Canoe Reeves was great in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure - then we found out he was playing himself in the movie and that was the extent of his range.

I've seen props with more talent.

12. Besides Neo, I just like it. I guess it is that feeling that
maybe everyone, including Neo, has at some time in their life that there is something else out there somewhere. Haven't you had that? Besides I just like the magic of movies; I have no interest in seeing how they do the stunts. I wanna believe!

6. The first Matrix is an amazing film
The second and third suck.
The first Matrix is fascinating. Besides being a good action film, it has a fascinating political theme. I think it's a great film, and one of the most important of recent years because of what it says about our political culture.

7. i had never seen the first matrix until right before Reloaded came out.
Edited on Tue Nov-30-04 02:12 PM by SheepyMcSheepster
so that was pretty fun, not having to wait very long to get each new installment of the story.

i know what you mean about being sucked in, i find it to be a great mythology that gets setup and explored. pretty fun stuff.
keanu is ok, he plays the part well for these movies.

i am more a fan of the story/idea.

if you really like the story be sure to check out the Animatrix, it is a collection of Anime/Cartoons (mostly japanese) that explore stories in the matrix universe.

i really enjoyed all of the films and i am glad to have seen them.

10. I have heard a lot of criticism of Keanu's acting but I read that
he played it exactly the way the brothers meant it to be done, so Zen like I guess. The movie just makes me think and I like that.

9. The first one was a mind-blowing metaphor for modern TV society
The second and third ones are best forgotten. I wish they would have just made the first one, since I felt the later ones diminished it's metaphorical message.
