most underrated musical act
sorry, i don't have the ability to create a poll

my pick would be pearl jam-people tend to dismiss their work post '93, but yield and binaural were great cds. they also get blamed unfairly for all the bad knock-offs from STP to creed who tried to imitate they style of their first album (which, incidentally, the band feels was overproduced)

3. also, i'll add the kinks
who were better than other 60s performers like janis, the doors, and hendrix-but don't get the credit because the band made the mistake of living to a healthy old age

the first 4 or 5 years of this band were better than anything lydon did in the pistols
