6. yup, we get this sort of stuff here too

it's something akin to keep up with the Jones's. All that wasted electricity. And my job is to prevent crap things happening to the built environment...so I get really noised up when I drive out of town during December.

... in the same way I view people driving Hummers and Yukons.

It is an affront to nature to squander energy, a limited and polluting resource.

That's ok, when electricity is $1.00 a KWH instead of $0.10, this will be self correcting :)
