Help!!! I need some info and I don't know where to look
Way back in the 1980's when VH-1 was just starting out they would have a lot of videos for songs not really heard on the radio. Anyways I started thinking of one of those vids tonight and it has been driving me nuts that I can't remember who did the song or what the title was.

The lyrics I do remember :

"Freebird, Let's go out a Play. Wake me up..."

And the video had these people heads onto of robot-like bodies. I would just like to find the song to hear it once more.

3. Male voice. I think his name was Dan and last name began with an
F. When I typed in the lyrics on yahoo search it kept giving me Lynard Skynard and it's not like that.

7. I wish I could those are the only words I remember. I do remember
it was the part of the chorus and it seems to have a lot of synthsizers
(I know which song didn't-- it was a mellow song.)

I must have heard it in my dream last night. I do that once in a while remember the song in my dream and start thinking about it like crazy.

Thanks for the help wish I could give more.

6. Could it have been Dan Fogelberg?
VH-1 was kind of an adult contemporary channel, early on -- did lots of 'soft rock' stuff -- he would have been one of the artists they played a lot early on.

I don't recognize any particular song, but if anybody else picks up anything from the lyrics or knows any of his stuff, this might help.

10. Donald Fagan maybe? Probably?

I think the video had human heads on little toy bodies driving around in little cars...

The album was Kamakiriad, but I think the singles were "Tomorrow's Girls" and "Snowbound"

For samples:

On edit, the clip of "Snowbound" begins with the phrase "Wake me Up"

What's the prize on this one??? ;)

11. MYSTERY SOLVED
Talked to my friend who was with me when I heard the song. It ended up being a song her Uncle's band was playing in the basement. The vent system in her parents house was CRAZY so even though the band was in the basement it sounded like it was from the TV due to where we were and the vent was and the TV.

Thanks for help
