Poll question: Better SUV slogans
Edited on Sun Dec-05-04 12:12 PM by undisclosedlocation
Not bashing SUV owners who actually use them for sports or utility.

Disclaimer: I actually think the Porsche Cayenne looks nice, but apparently I'm practically alone in this opinion, hence the slogan below.

1. I don't get the second one...
But the esclade on is fucking brilliant, I would have voted for it except for the fact that I loath the hummer H2 more than any car out there. I live on a small island, and I mean small, with only ferry access to the main land. Some asshole owns one and drives it around the island, talk about overkill. then again, apparently he is the guy who owns the gas station, which explains so much.

7. I like 'em. I'll add them, even though they double up on nameplates
I already have on the poll. No harm done, and time's running out.

4. Gosh I own a GMC Yukon.SLT..........then again I owned them when they ....
were not fashionable with people. I've been buying them since 1985, mostly because I needed something to haul camping gear and a large utility trailer. I also use mine more like a truck then anything else since I've been known to pull out stuck equipment at a passive historic park I managed for many years. Sometimes I have it full of people to take to various historic sites. I sometimes take it into the woods to check on things. Mostly it is my winter driving vehicle, heck its 5yrs old and only has 23 thous on it. I will say this one does get better mileage then others I've owned over the years. I don't buy foreign made vehicles, never have and never will.

I do own several old cars and I used one almost all summer since it uses less fuel, not bad for a 31 yr old tank. (saved from being crushed)

8. Good on you; you actually need one
By the way, astonishing numbers of foreign-owned companies build their cars here. Camrys are made in Georgetown KY, Accords in Maysville OH, Mazda 6s (I think) in Flat Rock MI, etc.

10. funny about the Hummer its built on the Yukon platform ........
and goes for twice the price. The Caddy while similar is horrible on fuel. What I can't believe is people buy them for more money and get a lot more plastic and less fuel economy. 90% of the people who buy 4X4 SUV vehicles never take them off road.

12. A Hummer in my neighborhood has a personalized plate that says
HUM BUL

Part of the reason people buy these vehicles is for the huge tax write off they get.

THAT has to be changed!!
