21. I'll pass on the McCourt
Chalk it up to working at B&N, but I was absolutely sick of hearing/seeing anything to do with Angela's ^#&@& Ashes by the time I left there. Summary: Being Irish and poor is hard and heart-wrenching, but we are resilient and hopeful despite all the drunkeness, poverty, and fighting.

I'll push some new stuff on ya. ;-)

will really bum you out; I'm not kidding.

Just so you're warned.

Maybe take one Janet Evanovich?
If you haven't read Stephanie Plum, I recommend 1-3.
You will laugh aloud.
Great cruise material.

11. The Blind Watchmaker, Dr Suess Goes to War, America: The Book
The Blind Watchmaker: the case against creationism and for natural selection...

Dr Suess Goes to War: the political cartoons of Dr Suess from 1941 to 1943 for a defunct NYC paper, PM, with text discussing the issues of the day, including the isolationists who wanted to keep America OUT of the war in Europe, and how the Defense industry was so short of labor, but wouldn't hire blacks or Jews.

America: The Book... the first #1 bestseller SPECIFICALLY written to be read in the can? ;)
