How do you put a footnote in a Word document without it repetng evry page?

Hint: Saying "Don't use Word!" "Use a Mac!" or being too caught up in saying "Switch to Firefox" to stop yourself from saying that, will all not help so don't bother. I'm already using Word.

oh and sorry about the title, I couldn't fit it spelled right in the subject line

The Insert menu, click on reference,and click on footnotes. The screen should split at the bottom, and fill out the info in the new section. If that's incorrect, or you have a problem, IM me.

3. Did you confuse footer and footnote?
Footers will appear on every page but a footnote will appear only once.
Does that help?

4. footers will appear only once if you have a new section start
the next page (Insert/section break) and then tell the footer or hearder NOT to link to previous.
