1. I seem to recall Joe Jackson singing that song.
Although it may be a cover version of someone's more famous rendition. If so, I don't know who it was.

5. Yes he did. On Jumpin' Jive.


My understanding was that JJ's dad was a big band player or leader and he was musically trained in that tradition, as so many Brit rockers were. So the album was fun for him but a homage too.

9. Being drunk, high, or drugged all the time sucks
This is why I quit taking two of my medicines that my doctor tried me on. I do not enjoy feeling that way all the time. The fun of using a mind altering substance is to feel an altered reality for a while and then return to reality. A perpetual altered reality is just out of control.
