Oh hey...DU attorneys especially will like this..
So, I'm covering court yesterday. This guy comes up...he was arrested after a police chase in a stolen vehicle.,.... this leads the cops back to his motel room where they find his 16-year-old Girlfriend (he's 28) two sawed off loaded shotguns, cocaine, crystal meth, pot...stolen property.... and counterfeit money. SO when he gets a chance to address the judge what does he say?

"I know this looks bad......but I really am trying to get my life together and not bother anyone."

I almost burst out laughing...

Oh...also...he checked into the motel under the name "Carl Perkins"

10. so did this happen in Canada or the US
PS: I don't think of Canadians doing this kind of stuff. This sounds like low class white trash stuff only possible in the US

beautiful, so perfect, so clean, everyone was so nice, everything was so green and I guess I didn't think d-r-u-g-s. Oh well, duh.

15. I am even more shocked; would never have believed it when I was
there. I thought it was a really beautiful city in an incredibly beautiful setting. I always thought it would be an ideal place to live. Also, Canadians always seemed to me to be way more civilized than Americans (less violence and all that crap).

16. Where you in East Van?
That's the bad part. Even though it has a high drug rate and stuff...you can still walk through it at night...in most areas.

Oddly with all the drugs there is still a lower than us assault and that kind of stufgf rate.

17. I was in all the tourist areas, like Stanley Park (was that the
name of the big park?) and the shopping areas and all those type places, that little Chinatown section, etc. Don't remember where I stayed as it was about 5-10 years ago . Was in Vancouver for a few days. Also have been in Victoria, etc. on a different trip. Did a cruise from Vancouver to Alaska and saw the whole beautiful coast of Canada. I remember feeling very safe in Canada, every time I have ever been there. Can't say that about Italy, for example.

I notice when I went into grocery stores in Canada they always seemed to have these huge cut flower departments. (Another sign of civilized behavior.) The US groceries started getting larger flower sections the last few years.
